Festivāls 'Laima RendezVous Jūrmala 2024'

About the event

The first day of the festival, on 26th July, will feature Londonbeat, a band popular for their unique fusion of R&B, pop and soul music with modern techno rhythms. Their famous song "I've Been Thinking About You" was released in 1991 and quickly topped the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot Dance Music/ Club charts, and in 2019 a remix of the hit returned to the top ten of the Billboard dance charts.

Ukrainian artists Verka Serduchka, NK I NASTYA KAMENSKYKH, Max Barskih, DOROFEEVA, ALEKSEEV, Anna Butkevich, Uliana Olhyna and Maria Maksakova will take the stage, joined by Dеn Baurin from Hungary, Uku Suviste from Estonia as well as Latvian performers: Jānis Stībelis, Igo, Normunds Rutulis and GRĒTA. The magnificent Ukrainian ballet Freedom Ballet and Laima Vakule herself will shine on stage on all three days of the festival, starting with the first day.

Don't miss this special evening, which promises to be an unforgettable musical experience!

Saturday's concert promises to be particularly spectacular, with two headliners. The legendary rock band Bi-2 and this year's Eurovision winners NEMO. Bi-2 have been widely popular and acclaimed since 1988, and their dynamic concerts combine special effects, thoughtful scenarios and often a symphony orchestra to create a unique and spectacular sound. Throughout their career, the group has enjoyed success in Eastern Europe and won numerous international awards, including the World Music Prize. In 2023, the members of Bi-2 emigrated to Israel, where they continue their creative activity.

The 24-year-old NEMO, real name Nemo Mettler, won the hearts of music lovers with their magical stage performance "The Code" at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden this May. NEMO's musical background, stage charm and experience in hip hop music circles make up their unique sound.

In addition to Bi-2 and NEMO, festival guests will be entertained by the much-loved SunStroke Project, whose hits are an integral part of Laima Vaikule's festival. The inimitable Elina Nechayeva will enchant with her vocal skills, and for the first time Viktor Vik (Estonia) and Bulgarian artist Elizabet Zaharieva will take to the Dzintari Concert Hall stage. The festival will also feature Ice Hokku (Israel), Maksim Pokrovskiy - member of Nogu Svelo! Nikolay Trubach (Ukraine), Vasyl Popadiuk (Canada).

Our own artists Intars Busulis, Jānis Stībelis, Normunds Rutulis, Ivo Fomins, Aija Andrejeva, Dināra Rudāne and Patrisha will also be present. Freedom Ballet and Laima Vaikule herself will traditionally delight the audience with their bright performances.

Join us and enjoy a unique musical journey with many great artists in one concert!

The Laima RendezVous Sunday concert is traditionally the highlight of the festival, attracting world-famous artists. This year, the headline artist of the closing day will be Andrejs Makareviсh, a public favourite and friend of the festival and Laima Vaikule. Andrei Makarevich, the unchanging leader of the legendary rock band “Time Machines", has been performing with his band for 55 years. He has written most of the 600 songs in the band's creative heritage. In total, the band has 23 studio and ten live recordings, participation in countless music festivals and dozens of music prizes and awards.

The extravagant Lucky Love, often referred to as a modern-day Freddie Mercury, is also a name to note. His visual resemblance to the legendary lead singer of Queen, his philosophy of life and his artistic approach make him a sensation. The artist, who was born without one arm, believes that disability is no barrier to success. "My aim is to show that people with disabilities should not say: "I can't do it", but to believe in themselves no matter what," said the long-standing French cabaret Madame Arthur host and artist in an interview with Mad officiel.

The final day of the festival will bring together a veritable constellation of favorite performers, including the great Nino Katamadze, two more Georgian performers Stefan Mgebrisvili and Nicoloz Rachveli, the Moldovan band SunStroke Project, Polish artist Michal Szpak, who represented his country at Eurovision 2016, and 2021 Eurovision entrant Uku Suviste. Among the artists who will also take to the stage are, of course, Latvia's favourites Intars Busulis, Jānis Stībelis, Normunds Rutulis, Markus Riva, Musiqq and Citi zēni, as well as Marija Naumova.

Of course, the muse of the festival herself - Laima Vaikule - will also be on stage with the talented Freedom Ballet to create an unforgettable atmosphere.

Don't miss the closing of this outstanding music and arts festival, which promises to be an unforgettable summer event!
